Congress venue pictures

Between 1865 and 1934, the Congress venue was called Regio Istituto Tecnico di Santa Marta, situated at Via Circo-Piazza Santa Marta, west of Milan's central and historical vicinity, Duomo. The area is now called Circo-Piazza Mentana (Mentana Square as Piazza is Italian for square) and the building is now a block of apartments with graffiti laden walls in a quiet residential city street. It is interesting to note that those residents living in those flats know nothing of its historical significance. It is not known whereabouts inside the building the 'Great Room" is where the assembly was held.

Below are thumbnails to enlarge the images. Also on the right side, you will see two maps locating the venue.
