There are several deaf websites around the UK and the world (click
on Deafsites link to see what I mean). The following are the websites
that I, Milan, really HATE most and want to close them down, but
they’re too strong and too stubborn to give in to my demands.
They are DESPICABLE!
Artsigns
Like the BritishSignLanguage.com
website, this shameful interactive website shows those despicable
signs in various words, phrases and subjects. I’ll have
them converted into www.artoral.ac.uk or www.britishorallanguage.com!
British Deaf Association
That’s an
organisation I’d really LOVE to close down for good. They
promote sign language and protects the interests of Deaf people.
Avoid them at all costs, but you’ll dare to ignore me.....
British Deaf History Society
Well, the name says
it all, doesn’t it? I’m part of THAT Deaf history
– actually the most infamous of all and I’m totally
PROUD of it! Do enjoy this site and it’s got useful links
to other history sites and mouthwatering stuff that I like.
BSL March Site
Those damned Deafies
and hearing allies DON’T give up, do they? They had staged
BSL marches involving thousands of them in London and all over
the UK (in 2000 over 9,000 marched in London). If I had my way,
I’d MOW ‘em down and SPLAT...!
Cochlear War
(Grins) “Cochlear
War”? Honestly, I’m rather pleased to know that
my regime of Oralist terror has had gone beyond its boundaries
ro provoke further controversy about deaf children amongst Deaf
people and those concerned about coahlear implants. It’s
a website that offers information about those lovely little
devices, myths and facts, parents’ views, debates, forums,
etc, etc., mainly AGAINST CI. It’s a website I really
hate, but I’ll spare it as there are plenty of other one–sided
CI–supportng websites.....
Deaf Education (the UNREAL one)
Interesting site
that one – these are TRUE stories and experiences by those
[grin] Deaf people who had suffered during their education through
my wonderful regime of Oralist terror since the Judgement Day
of September 11th 1880. I am justified!
Deaf–Ex Mainstreamers
The name speaks
for itself(!) – it supports those who had gone through
my SUCCESSFUL mainstream education methods... or maybe not that
many of those who had left are sign language converts though
I’m hoping that they’ll always make use of their
speech...
Deaf Liberation Front
Oooh... I DO want
them to stop what they are doing! The name says it all –
if I had my way, I’d have ‘em all tracked down and
oralised by my signbusting hunters so that they can be forced
to change the name to Oralist Retention Front! However they’re
way too strong and getting even stronger, I’m still working
on them, you’ll see.....
Deaf President Now!
Once Upon A Time
Hearies Ruled The Deafies – or so it seemed. This 1988
landmark event in America had turned this rule around when Gallaudet
University had (again) elected a hearing President much to the
mass protests of thousands of Deaf Americans and hearing allies.
The sheer power of this protest resulted in the election of
the first–ever Deaf president, King Jordan. Damn them
– I’ll try to turn it around....
Deaf–UK
That influential
and powerful Yahoo email group is hyperactive in discussing
so many Deaf issues. I did try to plant a virus in this egroup
to destroy it, but failed miserably every time. I’ll find
another way, wait and see!
Federation of Deaf People
That’s an
organisation that really HATES me, but that’s okay with
me as I don’t like them either. They’re very protractive
in doing what they want to do – campaigning, organising
marches, hosting BSL–biased conferences, etc. They’re
gaining strength all the time. Damn ‘em!
Gallaudet University
One of the very
few education places that had managed to revoke oralism during
my Oralist regime as they continue to retain sign language and
I’m frustrated that they had grown too powerful for me
to thwart them... up to a point anyway – see the Deaf
President Now link above to see what I mean.....
See Hear!
Isn't TV a powerful
medium? It had shown various programmes for the deaf, even about
my Oralies over the years, but this particular programme series
- See Hear! - is the one I really, really WANT the BBC to axe!
(I doubt they will for a long time anyway). Since 1981, it has
been the world’s longest running weekly programme series
for Deaf people. it continues to show its strength with all
those (yuck) signing Deaf people. I'm planning to commission
a new series to the BBC to replace this blasted programme. It's
called Hear Speak! Good, isn't it...?
Usher UK
No disrespect intended
as they do good voluntary work for Usher and Deaf visually impaired
people, but they DO support BSL. Like those Deaf people, these
Deaf Ushers within are so stubborn and won’t give in that
easily. I’ll trip them up.....
World Federation of the Deaf
I’ve TRIED
to bring this blasted international organisation down once and
all, but it has always been impossible cos of the sheer power
of international sign language they and their members possess
had always defused me. :–(
